Cyberpunk 2077 is filled with unique side jobs and memorable NPCs that will lead you through all sections of Night City and beyond, obtaining unique gear and wheels to aid you in removing the Relic. Some of these jobs don’t appear on your map and can only be started by exploring the world or through a series of unclear actions.

These hidden jobs contain unique characters and interactions with the lore of Cyberpunk 2077 that you would otherwise miss out on by walking right past it. Luckily, all of these side jobs don’t require too much detective work, and can all be found fairly early in the game.

Bullets

Bullets is a side job involving the Jinguji clothing store in the City Center of Night City, and one most clothing enthusiasts might trigger accidentally. After visiting and talking with the store owner, Zane, come back to the store after a few days and interact with him again.

This will trigger an encounter with a cyberpsycho in which you are tasked with saving Zane from certain death. After the incident, MaxTac arrives and interviews you both, and through talking with one of the officers, you can get some insight into how MaxTac operates and how they ‘rehabilitate’ cyberpyschos.

Career Opportunities

You might have noticed a handful of arcade games littered throughout Night City, and even in some of the available apartments. One of these games, Trauma Drama, involves playing as a Trauma Team medic, fighting off gangoons and saving clients.

After reaching the high score, you will receive a text from Macroware instructing you to visit the Trauma Team net page and apply for an internship, which will reward you with some sweet loot. This is also one of the most frustrating side jobs to complete, as the max score takes some time to beat, and you will have to restart all over if you fail.

Dress To Kill

Way out in The Badlands is a horrific sight that you might be drawn to as you spot a Trauma Team AV taking off into the sky. At the deserted racetrack there will be a handful of dead bodies, including corpos and Raffen Shiv, telling a story all too common in the desert.

By reading a nearby shard, it is revealed this was a photo shoot for a clothing line using a Thorton model vehicle to give the brand a more rustic vibe, and to be wary of possible attacks in the desert. The side job is almost over as soon as you arrive, instructing you to get into your new and unique Thorton Colby, ideal for roaming The Badlands.

The Highwayman

In a closed garage just beneath the dam in Rancho Coronado is a broken-down motorcycle and a nearby terminal with a message between Josie and James. After reading the message, V will pick up a photo of James and Josie together, which you will have to find to reach James.

Just north of the Japantown Apartment fast travel station you can find James sitting on the same bench from the picture, and he will tell you more about what happened to Josie. After this interaction, you no longer have to play detective, as you are given quest markers that let you follow the rest of the tragic story.

I’m In Love With My Car

This side job is likely one you will discover through recovering Delamain’s divergent forms. However, if you do those jobs before starting Playing for Time, this job can be easily missed. In an abandoned warehouse almost directly north of the Longshore North fast travel station is a tricked-out nomad vehicle sitting alone.

This Type-66 ‘Hoon’ comes equipped with a machine gun and is fairly fast, quickly becoming a powerful early-game vehicle. This side job also only appears after doing the Playing for Time job and talking with Takemura, and you must find the access key buried under a nearby shelf.

Machine Gun

After obtaining the iconic smart pistol, ‘Skippy’, through an unlabeled side job that appears in Heywood, you will have to then use Skippy to kill or maim 50 enemies. After a few days, Skippy will appear again and give you the Machine Gun side job, in which he remembers his original owner being Regina Jones.

Accomplishing this job will mean you lose Skippy for a bit, handing him back to Regina for a reward. However, after a few days, Regina will call and let you know you can come and collect Skippy again, albeit no longer outfitted with a quippy AI and missing a mod slot.

Murk Man Returns Again Once More Forever

In an incredibly non-subtle reference to both Batman and his iconic Batmobile, Murk Man Returns Again Once More Forever allows you to obtain a unique Caliburn named ‘Murkmobile’. This side job requires you to have finished the Ghost Town job, hunting down Nash with Panam.

Returning to the same cave system a few days later you can find a blue container with the Murkmobile and a terminal message from Murkman, detailing his tragic backstory and quest for justice in Night City. Although the Caliburn’s color scheme is locked as all black, it has a unique interior compared to the one you can buy through the Autofixer.

Shape Of A Pony

Those not wanting to spend tens of thousands of eddies on Autofixer will easily miss this side job from Muamar Reyes. After buying the Porsche 911 Turbo Cabriolet from the ‘Other’ section of the net page, Reyes will call you, letting you know there is a slight problem getting you your new wheels.

Following the coordinates, you are led to a very familiar character lying dead in the badlands, which will lead you to the car’s final location. The Porsche you obtain is fairly similar to the same one as Johnny Silverhand’s that you can find during ‘Chippin’ In’, except with a yellow color scheme and open top.
