If you have been looking for a way to get moving on days where motivation is a little lacking, look no further. Craig Richey has just launched a new YouTube Channel, The Daily Cardio, to help you get moving.

Richey decided to start The Daily Cardio after coming home from the CrossFit Games. “Honestly, I felt a bit lost after the Games,” shared Richey. “I wanted to give back to the community and have another focus for a while. I thought this was the best way I could do that in my own way.”

The Daily Cardio is a 10-20 minute workout where the only equipment needed is an erg (you could also run if that is not available) and a pair of dumbbells. The first week has primarily featured the Concept2 BikeErg and a rower, along with dumbbells.

Richey and his partner, Jasmine Cabourn, do the workouts during the video in a follow-along style with an on-screen timer. Videos will be published every weekday, Monday through Friday.

The intent of The Daily Cardio is to help people get some movement in on days where they are lacking motivation or using it a good finisher to their regularly-scheduled programming.

As for Richie, these workouts are now his daily non-negotiable. He said he will still be doing Olympic Weightlifting twice a week along with some bodybuilding/rehab sessions. “Coming off the British Weightlifting Championships, it had taken a toll on my body, so this time right now is building the foundation, both in terms of cardio and strength,” shared Richey.

He added that he still has the goal to get that 156kg British snatch record.

When asked who The Daily Cardio is for, Richey said, “Anyone and everyone.” He added, “CrossFit, HYROX, garage gym owners or even those inside a commercial gym could do these workouts. I’ve programmed them so they can be for complete beginners by scaling the weights and movements or if you’re extremely fit they will still be a good test.”

If you are worried The Daily Cardio will take away from Richey’s regular content, don’t fret. Richey still plans on traveling around the world to meet with CrossFit athletes and to attend the best competitions. He then added, “Maybe we could get some of them to join in on The Daily Cardio when possible.”

The Daily Cardio is published daily, Monday through Friday.
