Week 1 of the NFL is still a few weeks away, but some fans are in midseason form.
A group of Rams and Cowboys fans exchanged blows outside of Sofi Stadium in Los Angeles on Sunday in perhaps the first of many brawls between football addicts this fall.
In a video posted to Instagram by @vaquerosgang, a man in a Troy Aikman Cowboys jersey tossed a man in a Puka Nacua Rams jersey to concrete, throwing some punches to his head as he lay on the ground, apparently knocking him out.
The man on the ground would get up moments later with blood streaming down his face.
Just a few steps away, another group of football fans were in a scrum before a couple of peacemakers jumped in to break up the fight.
A few more words and shoves would be dealt out before everyone appeared to go their separate ways.
The Rams won the game 13-12 thanks to quarterback Stetson Bennett, after a four-interception performance, threw a 6-yard touchdown pass with four seconds remaining.
It’s far from the first time fans went to blows during a game that doesn’t even count.
Last season, a group of 49ers fans tussled during a preseason game at Levi’s Stadium.
A year before that, Jaguars and Steelers fans went at it during a preseason game in Jacksonville.
