Could the Dallas Mavericks make the NBA finals again with former Golden State Warriors sharpshooter Klay Thompson on their roster? The Mavs’ front office is certainly hoping for such an outcome, but is it fair to assume that it is even on the table in such a competitive Western Conference?
We have heard the requisite rumors of star Dallas wing Luka Doncic being in the best shape of his career, and star Mavericks floor general Kyrie Irving appears to have shed the constant chaos that followed him everywhere until last season. With the addition of the onetime Dubs marksman to the roster, it could be the missing piece for a return to the finals. It could also be a major miscalculation pending the health and ability left in the tank for Thompson, but only time can tell.
