The Discoverers took part in both the Grand Island Invite on Friday and the Norfolk triangular Monday.
On Friday, Columbus placed fifth as a team with a 366 at the Jackrabbit Run Golf Course. Junior Molly Goc led the Discoverers with an eighth place finish after shooting an 82.
Senior Jersey Odgaard and freshman Abby Jensen tied for second on the team with the duo each shooting a 90. Senior Ivy Divis was the final Columbus golfer to reach the team score after shooting a 104.
The fifth and final golfer for Columbus was junior Emma O’Kane with a 120.
On Monday, Columbus traveled to the Norfolk Country Club with the Discoverers, who took first over Norfolk and Fremont. The Discoverers took first with a score of 378 with the Panthers shooting a 396 and the Tigers scoring a 409.
Goc led at Norfolk with an 82, while Jensen shot an 89 and Odgaard had a 90. Divis beat out O’Kane by one stroke for the final spot after finishing with a 117.

Columbus’ next outing is set for today, Sept. 12, at the Lincoln Southeast Invite.
Scotus Central Catholic
The Shamrock girls were at the Grand Island Central Catholic Invite on Sept. 5. Scotus placed third as a team after shooting 402. Minden took first as a team with a score of 346.
“First big meet of the season. Still struggling to find some consistency,” Scotus coach Tanya Niedbalski said. “It seemed like we had a couple of great shots on holes, but then followed those shots with some poor shot choices.”
On the day, senior Quinn VunCannon led the Shamrocks by shooting a 97, but she narrowly missed out on medaling after placing 11th.
Libby Langan was second for the Shamrocks with a 98 and Kiya Taylor finished third on the team with a 100.
Ava Sokol was the final Shamrock to help on the team score sheet after scoring a 107. Brynn Homolka was the last Shamrock that missed the team cut with a 108.
Scotus will also be back in action today with the Shamrocks competing in the Lakeview Invite.
Lakeview
The Lady Vikes took part in the York Invite on Sept. 5, and as a team, they placed fourth. Lakeview shot a 462 as a team while York took first with a score of 400.
Ryann Leibhart and Ali Mueller had the highest placements on the day with Leibhart taking sixth with a 104 and Mueller finishing seventh after shooting a 106.
The final two Lady Vikes to reach the team score were Quinn Loseke and Ellie Berkeland. Loseke finished with a 117 and Berkeland shot a 135. Taryn Molt was the final Lakeview golfer and she shot a 142.
The Lady Vikes will host their team invite today.
