FORT COLLINS, Colo. — A partnership between Colorado State University, Learfield’s Rams Sports Properties, and HR technology provider, UKG, was announced today, making it one of the first college athletics programs to feature an on-field logo at the 50-yard line this football season. The UKG logo will be prominently featured at Canvas Stadium for the Rocky Mountain Showdown, the rivalry game between Colorado State and Colorado which will kick off Saturday, September 14. The game will be hosted in Fort Collins for the first time since 1996 and will be nationally televised.
“Adding UKG’s logo at the 50-yard line is just another innovative way we are pushing to grow our department and a point we take pride in,” said John Weber, Director of Athletics at Colorado State University. “Having partners like UKG join us in this initiative is a great feeling. The addition of the field logo adds to the excitement leading to Saturday’s game.”
In addition to on-field visibility and other in-venue signage, UKG will benefit from extensive exposure through the nationally televised broadcasts which will air on CBS during peak viewing hours. UKG HR, payroll, and workforce management software is leveraged by countless colleges and universities nationwide as well as some of the best-known professional sports teams which makes this partnership especially unique and poignant.
“At UKG we are all about delivering great experiences, which is what we expect the Rocky Mountain Showdown rivalry to deliver,” said Meghan Setzer, Group Vice President of Marketing Communications at UKG. “We are thrilled about the opportunity to make a bold statement during this exciting event.”
“It is tremendously exciting to see UKG and Colorado State embrace the opportunity to elevate one of their most important games of the season,” said Kim Damron, President of Learfield Sports Properties. “Featuring UKG’s logo at the 50-yard line of this nationally televised rivalry game is the perfect way to amplify their brand both in Fort Collins and to fans nationwide.”
Rams Sports Properties, the locally based team of Learfield—the media and technology company powering college sports – is the exclusive multimedia rights holder for Colorado State Athletics and handles all sponsorships, in-venue signage, and advertising on behalf of Colorado State University. This sponsorship opportunity was created in collaboration with Rams Sports Properties and Learfield’s corporate business development team.
