The Big Ten football standings saw a bit of a shakeup in Week 14, with the conference’s Cinderella team being brought back down to earth.
In its biggest game of the week, No. 5 Indiana (10-1 overall, 7-1 in Big Ten) saw its College Football Playoff odds take a hit as Curt Cignetti and the Hoosiers fell to Ryan Day and No. 2 Ohio State (10-1, 7-1) 38-15. The Buckeyes overcame an early 7-0 lead by Indiana to shut down the Hoosiers over the course of the first and second halves, scoring 31 straight points before Indiana got on the board again.
No. 4 Penn State (10-1, 7-1) handled business on Saturday, though the Nittany Lions had to put in some extra effort to beat Minnesota 26-25 the road. No. 1 Oregon (11-0, 8-0) was idle this week, as was Washington.
With newly named commit Bryce Underwood in attendance, Michigan football (6-5, 4-4) defeated Northwestern 56-6 at The Big House thanks to a big day from running back Kalel Mullings. Elsewhere, Wisconsin will have to wait another week to challenge for bowl eligibility as the Badgers (5-6, 3-5) fell to Nebraska (6-5, 3-5) 44-25 on the road. The Cornhuskers‘ win helped them reach their first bowl game since 2016.
