Youngstown State is one of the worst outside shooting teams in the country, with their 27% 3-point shooting ranked 353rd entering Tuesday and 305th in points per possession. Meanwhile, IU Indy ranks 165th in points per possession and has a better rebound percentage, with Youngstown State ranked 276th in this category.
Pick: IU Indy +5.5 (Greg’s Handicap: IU Indy -1.5)
12:00 PM Eastern
The Fort Wayne offense has been the most efficient unit in this game, ranking third in the country in turnovers per possession on offense and 22nd in points per possession away from home. On the other hand, Northern Kentucky entered Tuesday ranked 288th in points per possession scored and 339th in free throw shooting percentage at 64.2%.
Pick: Fort Wayne +2 (Greg’s Handicap: Fort Wayne -3.5)
12:00 PM Eastern
In a tight game, Wofford’s 310th-ranked free throw shooting percentage at 66% could be an issue, along with a defense ranked 296th in points per possession allowed. UNC Greensboro, by contrast, is ranked 53rd in points per possession allowed away from home, while Wofford ranks 318th in turnovers per possession committed on offense at home.
Pick: UNC Greensboro +2 (Greg’s Handicap: UNC Greensboro -2.5)
1:00 PM Eastern
Western Carolina entered Tuesday ranked 361st out of 364 Division I teams in points scored per possession and 360th in possessions per game. Furman, meanwhile, is ranked 55th in points per possession allowed on the road and has slowed things down dramatically from past seasons, ranking 318th in possessions per game.
Pick: Furman vs. Western Carolina Under 144.5 (Greg’s Handicapped Total: 135.5)
7:00 PM Eastern
Bradley leads the country in 3-point shooting percentage at 44.9%, which increases to 45.8% away from home. This mark is unsustainable, as only one team in the past eight seasons has shot over 43% for a full season (South Dakota State made 43.7% of their 3-point shots during the 2021-22 season). Indiana State, however, ranks 21st in opponent 3-point shooting percentage at home at 23.7%.
Pick: Bradley vs. Indiana State Under 157.5 (Greg’s Handicapped Total: 153)
7:30 PM Eastern
The Citadel entered Tuesday ranked 325th in the country in points per possession allowed and has allowed opponents to make 37% of their 3-point shots in games away from home. In contrast, each of Samford’s top five scorers shoots at least 40% from 3-point range, and the team is ranked 22nd in turnovers per possession forced on defense at home this season.
Pick: Samford -19.5 (Greg’s Handicap: Samford -25.5)
8:00 PM Eastern
Missouri State entered Tuesday ranked 64th nationally in home 3-point shooting percentage at 39.4% and 29th in total possessions per game at home. Meanwhile, both teams are ranked 181st or worse in points per possession allowed.
Pick: Valparaiso vs. Missouri State Over 140.5 (Greg’s Handicapped Total: 145)
