Colerain football coach Carl Huber steps down after two winless seasons
Colerain High School athletic director Matt Stoinoff announced that head football coach Carl Huber has stepped down after two seasons.
A school press release said Huber would remain in the school system in other roles and that updates regarding the new coaching search will be announced.
Stoinoff also shared the application and the hiring timeline, saying that interviews would take place at the conclusion of the Ohio football season from Dec. 9 to Dec. 21, announcing the new head coach before Christmas.
Huber spent two seasons with the team when the Cardinals went a combined 0-20 overall and 0-18 in the Greater Miami Conference.
Huber took over from Shawn Cutright who became head coach for the 2019 season after Tom Bolden went to Lakota West.
Colerain won or shared the GMC title for 20 consecutive seasons from 2000 to 2019. Since 2019, Bolden’s Lakota West squad has won or shared the conference crown in all but the 2023 season.
