Strong seasons from Wall and Coahoma were rewarded Tuesday on the 73rd annual Blue Bell/Texas Sportswriters Association Class 3A all-state football team.
The state semifinalist Hawks earned five spots, while the Bulldogs had two.
Wall offensive tackle Hudson Braden earned second team, while defensive lineman Brylan White was a third team selection.
Braden graded 97% on the season and gave up zero sacks. He was named District 4-3A Division II Offensive Lineman of the Year and was an All-West Texas selection.
White was the All-West Texas Defensive Player of the Year and District 4-3A DII Defensive Lineman of the Year after recording 91 tackles, 46 QB pressures, 15 tackles for a loss and five sacks.
Coahoma running back Jaidyn Vineyard was also named to the TSWA Class 3A all-state third team after he had 259 carries for 2,172 yards and 28 touchdowns rushing, adding 17 receptions for 301 yards and five touchdowns. He was named the District 4-3A DII Offensive Player of the Year and was an All-West Texas first-team selection.
Four local players received honorable mention, including Wall center Emmett Marlatt, Wall quarterback Landon York, Wall linebacker Ethan Michalewicz and Coahoma tight end Landon Wells.
