Indiana women’s basketball landed its first commitment in the class of 2026 on Monday.
Ashlinn James, a 5-foot-7 guard from Assumption High School in Louisville, Kentucky, announced her commitment to the Hoosiers on social media.
James was at Hoosier Hysteria over the weekend and was offered by Indiana last fall. She took an unofficial visit to Bloomington in August.
According to On3.com, James also had interest from Miami and Marquette.
James played at Manual High School last year before transferring to Assumption and also plays for Dana Evans Elite.
Indiana has successfully recruited the Louisville area in the past. In 2017, the Hoosiers signed Jaelynn Penn from Butler High School and in 2018, Grace Berger from Sacred Heart Academy.
