CL Champs Cricket Academy defeated Panchkula District Cricket Association by 37 runs to win the All-India Shaheed Bhagat Singh Invitational Cricket Tournament at Tau Devi Lal Stadium, Sector 3.
Batting first, CL Champs Cricket Academy posted 108/8 in the allotted 25 overs. Shashank Dhumka (59) was the main scorer for the side, followed by Rupesh Yadav (21). Left arm Spinner Rohit claimed four wickets, while Anubhav Kaushik claimed two wickets for the bowling side.
Rahul Singh also picked one. In reply, the Panchkula lads bundled out at 71 in 17 overs .Manan Sharma (26) and Karan Sheoran (14) contributed majority runs for the side. Akhilesh Bindal was the pick of the bowlers, as he claimed five wickets. Rupesh Yadav picked three, and Kartavya claimed one for the bowling side.
Rohit (14 wickets) was declared the best bowler of the tournament, followed by Chinmay Gupta (best fielder), Youvraj Gautam (best wicketkeeper), Karan Sheoran (best batsman) and Anubhav Kaushik (best allrounder and best performer). Akhilesh Bindal was adjudged Man of the Match.
