MASON, Ohio. (WKRC) – It’s one day until tennis stars take the Lindner Family Tennis Center for the Cincinnati Open. But the fun has already begun.
Beginning at 11 a.m. on Saturday, people can head to the center to watch some of the star players practice ahead of match play beginning tomorrow.
Some of the stars are freshly back in the U.S. after competing in the Paris 2024 Olympics, tournament Media Director Pete Holtermann said.
“This afternoon there’s Andre Agassi, Andy Roddick, and bronze medalist Tommy Paul coming from Paris with his bronze medal, so it’s going to be a great day,” said Holtermann.
Guests can attend classes and activities such as yoga and cardio tennis, as well as autograph and Q&A sessions.
It’s the first day to grab brand new Cincinnati Open merchandise as well:
“We’ve got a great new name, great new identity and logo, and a great new Cincinnati Open shop. That’s going to be very popular today,” said Holtermann.
Visitors can also stick around Saturday afternoon for the Cincinnati Open’s official match drawings.
Tickets range between $10 and $50, and proceeds of the tickets will benefit Cincinnati Children’s.
Community Day goes until 7pm Saturday evening.
