The top ten athletes of the NFL Network’s annual “Top 100 Players of 2024” were revealed on Friday night in a two-hour live show finale, and the San Francisco 49ers had two of their own in the mix. Reigning AP NFL Offensive Player of the Year Christian McCaffrey was unveiled as the No. 3 athlete on the list and is the ninth 49ers player to make the cut for the “Top 100 Players” in 2024.
McCaffrey joins Dre Greenlaw (No. 76), Brandon Aiyuk (No. 66), Deebo Samuel Sr. (No. 30), Brock Purdy (No. 28), Nick Bosa (No. 27), George Kittle (No. 14), Fred Warner (No. 11) and Trent Williams (No. 7) in this exclusive club.
The All-Pro running back closed out the 2023 season as the NFL rushing yards leader (1,459 yards) and the NFL scrimmage yards triple crown winner (No. 1 in scrimmage touchdowns, touches and yards). He was also a unanimous AP First-Team All-Pro and Pro Bowl selection in 2023 alongside winning the PFWA Offensive Player of the Year Award and the AP NFL Offensive Player of the Year Award.
