Russian Mirra Andreeva, the No 17 seed, reached the third round of the China Open by defeating Romanian Irina-Camelia Begu 6-7 (5), 6-1, 6-1 at the National Tennis Center in Beijing on Saturday.
Andreeva, ranked No 22, will play the winner of the match between Swiss Viktorija Golubic and Croat Donna Vekic, the No 16 seed, next.
Begu, ranked No 103, won against Chinese wildcard YeXin Ma (1-6, 6-4, 6-1) in the previous round of the Beijing tournament.
