Ohio State will be in its home uniforms as it returns to the Cotton Bowl next week.
While Texas is the higher seed in their College Football Playoff semifinal, the Longhorns revealed Saturday that they will be wearing their white road uniforms.
The Buckeyes were in scarlet during their last two appearances in the Cotton Bowl, including last season against Missouri and in 2017 against USC.
They wore their road uniforms when first appeared in the bowl game against Texas A&M to cap the 1986 season.
The Buckeyes’ uniforms include the traditional scarlet jerseys and gray pants. They will also wear a Cotton Bowl patch.
Ohio State is a 6 ½-point favorite over Texas, according to BetMGM
The Buckeyes face the Longhorns in the Cotton Bowl, which hosts one of the semifinal games, on Friday. Kickoff is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. on ESPN.
Ticket prices for the Ohio State vs. Texas game in Arlington, Texas, start at $321 on VividSeats, $191 on StubHub, $205 on Gametime and $350 on SeatGeek.
