PALM DESERT – Fueled by a strong final round performance, Charlotte Men’s Golf (833, -31) won the Wyoming Desert Intercollegiate team title by four strokes over Colorado Christian (837, -27).
COACH’S CORNER
“Obviously, it’s always nice to win so I’m excited for these guys and for our team,” said Head Coach Ryan Cabbage. “The golf course wasn’t very difficult this week, so it was hard to create separation between teams unless guys really got hot with the putter. The guys hung in there and did what they needed to do. These guys played good golf this week. We still have some things that we’ve got to clean up in order to continue to improve and to get better. We had some guys hit some quality shots down the stretch when we needed it. It was great to see this mission accomplished with getting the win. We now look forward to preparing for Sawgrass as soon as we get back to Charlotte!”
