Bayern Munich is hitting its stride at just the right time, rolling over Bayer Leverkusen 3-0 in a game that could have been even worse for the visitors.
The Bavarians now have a commanding 3-0 lead in its Champions League Round of 16 tie. Leverkusen ended up a man down but were thoroughly taken apart by a Bayern team that was simply on point, tactically and individually. From Michael Olise to Jamal Musiala…even to substitute goalkeeper Jonas Urbig. And of course, the captain-in-waiting, Joshua Kimmich — who turned a week of conversation over his Bayern future into a fantastic performance following injury.
