The famil follows a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Visit Qatar, signifying the cruise line’s three-year commitment to promote Qatar as a destination among its passengers and agent partners.
Chief Commercial Officer Lee Haslett said: “It’s a privilege to sign this agreement with Visit Qatar. Qatar is an extraordinary destination and an ideal fit for our guests who are seeking immersive, culturally rich experiences.”
“We look forward to working together with our agent partners to showcase everything this unique region offers.”
In partnership with Qatar Airways, Celestyal’s Vice President Business Development for the UK & Australia Janet Parton will host the fam group, including Aussie advisors, on the five-night trip to Doha.
Agents will spend three nights in Qatar before embarking Celestyal Journey for two nights while docked at Doha’s Grand Cruise Terminal.
While on board, guests will enjoy a speaker event with British former motorsports racing driver David Coulthard, who competed in Formula One for Williams, McLaren and Red Bull from 1994 to 2008, winning 13 Grands Prix across 15 seasons.
The trip’s finale will see advisors attend the Qatar Grand Prix 2024 at Lusail International Circuit on 1 December 1 with Grandstand ticket access.
The seven-night Desert Days cruise itineraries, departing from Doha or Dubai and calling at Bahrain, Khasab, Sir Bani Yas Island and Abu Dhabi, debuted this month and mark the company’s inaugural Arabian Gulf season.
“As Celestyal Journey is making her way to Doha, we’re starting to rev up for our inaugural season in the Arabian Gulf with this adrenaline-fuelled agent fam trip,” Parton said.
“Not only will we showcase the stunning Arabian Gulf and our beautiful ship but our agent partners are in for some pedal-to-the-metal F1 excitement which we’re sure will leave them racing to share with clients.”
