Wagner transferred from Totino-Grace this season.
He grew up in the Champlin Park youth program and returned to his home district for this year.
Wagner broke the Rebels’ single-game scoring record with 60 points against Blaine.
He also scored 40 against Anoka and Maple Grove and is averaging over 28 points per game.
He’s also helped restore Champlin Park to prominence in boys basketball.
The Rebels entered Friday with a 19-4 record.
Wagner is being recruited by schools like Austin Peay, Drake, and South Dakota State.
His mother, Jen (Hoffner) Wagner, was one of the top players in Park Center girls basketball history and won two NCAA Division II titles at the University of North Dakota.
