The Cleveland Cavaliers continue their dominant run this NBA season, reaching the impressive milestone of 15-0, making them the fourth team in league history to achieve such a winning streak to start a season.
The Cavs triumphed 128-114 over the Charlotte Hornets at the Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse. Darius Garland led the Ohio-based team with 25 points, while Ty Jerome matched his career-high with 24 points in Donovan Mitchell’s absence.
Evan Mobley also stood out with 23 points and 11 rebounds, and Jarrett Allen contributed significantly with 21 points and 15 rebounds for the Cavs.
For the Hornets, LaMelo Ball delivered 31 points and 12 assists, while Miles Bridges added 19 points.
The Cavaliers join an elite group of teams that have started a season 15-0, including the 2016 Golden State Warriors, the 1994 Houston Rockets, and the 1949 Washington Capitols.
The Warriors’ record stands out, as they set the league’s all-time best start with 24 consecutive wins and finished the season with a 73-9 record. Can the Cavs get close to that?
