Carlos Alcaraz has his sights set on more silverware in 2025 and one tournament in particular.

The Spaniard added four more titles to his impressive résumé in 2024, including a first French Open title and successful defence of his Wimbledon crown.

Alcaraz also pulled ahead in his rivalry with World number one Jannik Sinner who he defeated three times throughout the year.

But there was one title that alluded the 21-year-old in this season, and next year he is determined to add his name to the list of great players that have won it.

Which tournament does Carlos Alcaraz want to win most in 2025?

At such a young age Carlos Alcaraz has already won some of the biggest titles in tennis.

The former World number one has 16 tournament wins to his name, which include three of the four Grand Slam events.

He has the US Open, Roland Garros and two Wimbledon titles in the bank, but Alcaraz is keen to win the one major missing from his list of accomplishments, the Australian Open.

“The only Grand Slam I miss is the Australian Open, so I will go for it! Hopefully in 2025 I will make it,” Alcaraz told Tennis Channel after his exhibition match with Ben Shelton in New York on Wednesday.

“This is a really big and important goal for me coming into this season but it’s always difficult approaching a Grand Slam, a lot of players working really, really hard to make it. But I have to put big goals on my back and hopefully make it in 2025.”

What is Carlos Alcaraz’s Australian Open record?

Alcaraz made his Australian Open debut in 2021 and has played just 10 matches at Melbourne Park so far.

He has won seven of them, but he has yet to go beyond the quarter-finals at the first Grand Slam of the season.

Alcaraz reached the second round in 2021, missed the Grand Slam in 2023 due to injury and suffered a third-round five-set defeat to Matteo Berrettini in 2022. The loss still marks the only time that Alcaraz has lost a five-set match in his career.

His best result came in 2024, when Alcaraz took on Alexander Zverev in the last eight, and the German claimed a 6-1, 6-3, 6-7(2), 6-4 victory.

Should Alcaraz, aged just 21, win the Australian Open in 2025, he can become the youngest player to win all four Grand Slams, breaking a record held by Rafael Nadal, who completed the set at the age of 24.
