CANYON, Texas – West Texas A&M junior Santiago Caride carded rounds of 66, 74 and 70 to finish with a 210 (E) as the Argentina native finished eight at The Mule hosted by Central Missouri at the Mules National Golf Club in Warrensburg, Missouri.
Central Oklahoma shot rounds of 278, 284 and 277 for an 839 (-1) to claim a 14-stroke win over host Central Missouri (+13, 853 for the team title. Nicholas Canales of UCO started the season with a -6 (204) to pick up a one-shot win over teammate Jordan Wilson (-5, 205).
The Buffs registered rounds of 296, 297 and 286 for a team score of 879 (+39) to finish eighth on the team leaderboard. Caride shot four-under in the opening round on his way to a 210 (E) to finish eighth overall.
The Buffs return to action on September 15-17 as they travel to Allendale. Michigan to take part in the Folds of Honor Challenge hosted by Grand Valley State at Meadows Golf Club.
