Another of Friday’s interesting clashes at the WTA event in Singapore, also known as the Singapore Tennis Open, is the one between Camila Osorio and Elise Mertens. Both players have made it thus far thanks to hard-fought three-set successes last time out. As the higher-ranked player, Elise Mertens is the early favorite here, though I’m of the opinion that the Belgian competitor, who despite her clear talent is far from a model of consistency, is too short in the betting, meaning that the Colombian can be supported at generous odds.
