Indy Star reporter Dana Hunsinger Benbow interviewed finance and pro sports experts to get a sense of what the former Iowa women’s basketball player has meant to the bottom line of the league and the city of Indianapolis.
Clark, who is among the top 10 highest-paid female athletes in the world, is responsible for 26.5% of the WNBA’s leaguewide activity for the 2024 season, including attendance, merchandise sales and television − according to a valuation guru the Star interviewed.
