PARADISE, Calif. — After several years of being in the works, a housing project is set to take place in the town of Paradise. The approval was given for the project to move forward in the Butte County board of supervisors meeting that took place on Dec. 10, 2024.
The meeting showed several locals in attendance and five board members debating the pros and cons of moving forward with this new construction plan. The proposal came from the West family who owns the property in which they would like to begin building 165 single family homes on, the land they own is formerly the Tuscan Ridge Golf Course.
After the successful approval, those 165 units will now be able to be built and each lot will range from 3,000 square feet up to 20,000 square feet, it will cover about 163 acres.
No information has been released on when homes can be built or when they can be bought, as the approval for construction is still fresh. However, locals can easily pin the location as it will be located just off the Skyway, about 15 minutes shy of Chico.
More details will be released in the weeks to come. Check back for updates.
