LA JOLLA, Calif. – It’s a busy weekend for the UC San Diego women’s tennis team. Fall action continues this week with grad student Julia Haynes representing The Big West at the ITA Conference Masters and several Tritons competing in the SDSU Fall Classic.
Haynes was selected to play as The Big West’s singles representative. She will begin play Thursday at 11 am EST (8 am PST) against Cheri Darley of Stetson University. The winner will play again Thursday afternoon at 3 pm ET in the round of 16 against Catherine Denysiewicz-Slowek (Miami Univ.) or Sofia Franco Salcedo (UIW).
Meantime, eight other Tritons will be in San Diego to play in the SDSU Fall Classic on the San Diego State campus. UC San Diego participants include Cincy Chen, Polina Jorniak, Kelly Leung, Allison Lian, Naomi Nguyen, Adriana Tabares, Katelyn Vu, and Athena Wardy.
