MARQUETTE, Mich. (WLUC) – The Buck Buchanan Memorial Disc Golf Course held a ribbon cutting ceremony Friday evening, adding to the array of disc golf courses in the area.
“We’ve been calling it the Dead River disc golf center,” Watch It Bend Disc Golf Owner Tim Kopacz said. “You can come to the Dead River, play one course on one side and one course on the other side.”
The new course has 18 holes, which can be played on four different layouts. Those are the pro layout, advanced layout, intermediate layout and recreational layout.
The course’s first event, the Disc Da U.P. Homegrown Tour Series, will be held this weekend.
