BRANDON-EVANSVILLE — The fitness center at the Brandon school is close to completion — it just needs a door that can be secured to prevent access to the school and vice versa.
The fitness center was among the topics of discussion at the Brandon-Evansville School Board’s regular meeting on Monday, Nov. 18.
The fitness center is one of the elements of the district’s expansion project. Upon completion, the fitness center will be used both by student athletes and community members.
District Superintendent Louisa Glenetske said it’s a matter of changing the handle on the door.
Glenetske said she will talk to ICS Consulting about the change in the near future.
The district’s expansion project was approved through a referendum in November 2021 that authorized the issuing of general obligation school building bonds that will not exceed $14.5 million and will go toward “the betterment of school sites and facilities.”
