The NFL Network kicked off the week by beginning its countdown of “The Top 100 Players of 2024,” and following the announcement of Dre Greenlaw‘s spot at No. 76, the second San Francisco 49ers player to be voted onto the list by his peers was revealed.
Wide receiver Brandon Aiyuk earned spot No. 66 in the top 100 and was announced alongside athletes ranking from 61-70. This marks the first time Aiyuk has made NFL Network’s esteemed list.
In 2023, the former first-round pick finished as the team’s leading receiver with 1,342 yards and seven touchdowns on 75 receptions. Aiyuk started in 16 regular season games and all three playoff contests, including San Francisco’s Super Bowl LVIII appearance, earning an AP Second-Team All-Pro selection.
The vote to determine the top 100 athletes in the NFL is in its 14th year and includes only the ballots of current players in the league. The accompanying video series, which is now streaming on NFL+, is produced by NFL films and gives an inside look at the elite group of athletes ahead of the 2024 season.
The full list of “The Top 100 Players of 2024” will be rolled out each morning at 9 a.m. PST on NFL+ in groups of 10 through Wednesday, July 31. The top 10 will be announced on Friday, August 2 at 5 p.m. PST live on NFL Network. Before the top 10 are unveiled, “The Top 100 Players of 2024: #100-11” airs on NFL Network on Wednesday, July 31 at 5 p.m. PST, recapping this year’s list thus far.
