Four crooks shot two men inside an illegal Queens gambling den last month – killing one – as they swooped up a massive stash of weed, cops said as they released photos of the bundled-up suspects and their getaway rides.
Yun Li, 37, was inside the dice joint on Haight Street near 41st Avenue – just blocks from his Flushing home – around 9:20 p.m. Dec. 19 when he was shot in the head during the botched drug heist, authorities and sources said.
Li was clinging to life in the hospital for five days before he succumbed to his injuries on Dec. 23, cops said.
The violent quartet held “numerous victims” at gunpoint as they stormed into the parlor and swooped up “multiple pounds of marijuana,” the NYPD said.
Then they opened fire – striking Li as well as a 42-year-old man who took a bullet to the cheek, cops said.
The older man was also hospitalized and listed in stable condition.
The NYPD on Monday night released photos of the four suspects, each wearing winter coats and either skull caps or hoods pulled up over their heads.
Authorities also released images of what they described as the suspects’ two getaway cars – a black Dodge Durango and a gray Nissan Pathfinder.
No arrests had been made by Tuesday.
Anyone with information on the violence is asked to call the NYPD’s Crime Stoppers Hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477) or for Spanish, 1-888-57-PISTA (74782).
