LAS VEGAS – Boise State has been predicted to win the 2024-25 Mountain West regular-season title, as voted on by select media and announced Thursday morning ahead of the Conference’s media day.
The Broncos received 19 first-place votes and earned 276 points in the 2024-25 MW Men’s Basketball Predicted Order of Finish. Boise State returns four letterwinners from last year’s squad, including two starters, Tyson Degenhart and O’Mar Stanley. Joining head coach Leon Rice and the Broncos in 2024-25 are eight newcomers, headlined by Preseason All-Mountain West selection Alvaro Cardenas, a transfer from San José State.
New Mexico was picked second in the preseason poll with 233 points and one first-place vote, while Nevada was selected third with 219 points and a first-place vote. San Diego State was picked fourth with 213 points and two first-place votes. UNLV was chosen to finish fifth with 178 points and two first-place votes, while Utah State was selected sixth with 169 points and the final first-place vote.
Rounding out the poll is Colorado State seventh with 160 points, San José State eighth with 88 points, Wyoming ninth with 67 points, Fresno State 10th with 62 points and Air Force is 11th with 51 points.
