There is no shortage of storylines for “Monday Night Football” this week as the Jets host the Bills at MetLife Stadium. The Jets enter the game fresh off a chaotic week, as the team fired head coach Robert Saleh last week following a 2-3 start. Defensive coordinator Jeff Ulbrich takes over as interim head coach, making this game his first as an NFL head coach.
Meanwhile, the Bills are trying to snap a two-game losing streak, which comes after their hot 3-0 start to the year. Buffalo will be playing its third straight road game against an AFC playoff contender, as the team lost to Baltimore and Houston in each of the last two weeks.

Last year, the Jets and Bills opened the season in New Jersey on “Monday Night Football,” a game than famously featured Aaron Rodgers getting injured within the first four plays. New York still won that game 22-16 thanks to an Xavier Gibson walk-of punt return touchdown in overtime.
This will be the first of two games between these two teams this year, with the second scheduled for Dec. 29 in Buffalo. Since the Bills are just one game ahead of the Jets in the standings, the winner of this game will earn a temporary leg up in the division.
