The Kansas basketball team will enter the 2024-25 as contenders for the national title and Big 12 favorites. Hunter Dickinson and a slew of top-notch transfers will round out one of the best rosters that Bill Self has coached in a long time.
This week, the conference released the full conference slate of league games for the year. Jayhawk fans now know what the 31-game regular season schedule will look like. Here are all of the contests:
December

Jan. 8 vs. Arizona State
Jan. 11 @ Cincinnati
Jan. 15 @ Iowa State
Jan. 18 vs. Kansas State

Jan. 28 vs. UCF
February

Feb. 18 @ BYU
Feb. 22 vs. Oklahoma State
Feb. 24 @ Colorado
March
Mar. 1 vs. Texas Tech
Mar. 3 @ Houston
Mar. 8 vs. Arizona
The first four games of the conference slate are relatively light for the Jayhawks, who will square off against mostly bottom-half teams in the conference. However, tough games at Kansas State and Iowa State and vs. Houston will ensure in January.
In previous years, a round-robin schedule was generated and each team played each other twice. That changed in 2023-24 when the conference expanded to 14. The Big 12 lost two schools (Texas and Oklahoma) and introduced four new ones (Colorado, Arizona State, Arizona, and Utah). With 16 teams now present, some schools will receive advantageous schedules while others will not.
Kansas will play premier schools like Houston, Iowa State, and K-State twice. However, Baylor and Arizona only appear once. Another change is that the conference slate now consists of 20 games rather than 18, which the Big 12 had employed since 2012.
Regardless of what the schedule looks like, it will be difficult to win the regular season title. KU supporters can only hope the team builds on last year’s ugly 10-8 conference finish.
