Beyoncé is reppin’ her roots in Houston this Christmas!
On Wednesday, Dec. 25, the 32-time Grammy winner performed live for the halftime show at NRG Stadium as the Houston Texans went head-to-head with the Baltimore Ravens in her hometown as part of Netflix’s first-ever NFL Christmas Gameday.
For the inaugural mini-concert, the Cowboy Carter singer, 43, wore an all-white, country-inspired look featuring a massive fur coat and matching white cowboy hat as she rode in on a white horse.
Shedding her coat, Beyoncé revealed a bodysuit bedazzled with silver, glittering Western patterns across her arms and legs along with a silver belt buckle. Accessorizing the glamorous look, she sported knee-high white boots with chaps, dangling silver earrings and diamond necklaces as she wore her long, curly blonde hair loose down her back.
The performance featured a number of exciting guests, including country singer Shaboozey (who joined her for “Sweet Honey Buckiin”), rapper Post Malone (who is featured on Cowboy Carter’s “Levii’s Jeans”), and Beyoncé’s oldest daughter, Blue Ivy, 12, who line-danced with her mom among the background performers during the star’s finale of “Texas Hold ‘Em.”
Blue Ivy — who Beyoncé shares with husband Jay-Z — complimented her mom’s look with her own all-white outfit, including a bedazzled corset, white cowboy hat, diamond necklace and glittering belt buckle. She also donned a red, white and blue sash reading “Cowboy Carter” exactly like the one her mother wore on the cover of her most recent album of the same name.
Beyoncé first shared news of her performance in a social media announcement via Instagram on Nov. 17.
The video, set to an a cappella version of her song “AMERIICAN REQUIEM,” began with the lights dimmed, showing a car covered in red roses.
As the clip continued, the camera panned to the front of the vehicle, revealing longhorns attached at the top and the singer standing on the hood wearing an off-the-shoulder red, white and blue fitted, long-sleeved minidress.
Beyoncé rocked a white cowgirl hat as she caught a football tossed to her in the ad.
After her initial post, Beyoncé followed up with another promo clip posted to her Instagram account on Dec. 11.
This time the “Jolene” hitmaker wore an all-white look as she made her way through the snow to add a football ornament to a single cactus — one that towered over her — adorned with Christmas decorations.
She stunned in fitted leather pants and an oversized crop top, which included a flowing train and a large cowgirl hat.
The singer accessorized with diamond jewelry, white gloves and a red lip.
“Last year, we decided to take a big bet on live — tapping into massive fandoms across comedy, reality TV, sports, and more,” Netflix chief content officer, Bela Bajaria, said in a Nov. 19 statement.

“There are no live annual events, sports or otherwise, that compare with the audiences NFL football attracts. We’re so excited that the NFL’s Christmas Day games will be only on Netflix.”
Hans Schroeder, NFL executive vice president of media distribution, added, “The NFL on Christmas has become a tradition and to partner with Netflix, a service whose biggest day of the year is typically this holiday, is the perfect combination to grow this event globally for NFL fans.”
