Some people view their job as the best job, and with a new Forbes list ranking the top employers in the U.S., there may now be some truth to those claims. Â
In Delaware, more than a dozen employers made the state’s list. Â
Forbes recently released a list of the best employers by state for 2024 in response to research showing more employees feeling content with their jobs.
The list was created by surveying more than 160,000 employees working for companies with at least 500 people within the United States. Participants were asked how likely they were to recommend their employer on a scale of zero to 10. They were also asked to rate employers they had worked for within the past two years and other organizations in their industry. Â
Responses and survey data from the past three years were tallied and included in a scoring system. More recent data and responses from current employees held greater weight. Each state ranked between three and 101 employers depending on its size and the number of responses received. Â
Of the 1,294 organizations ranked, 15 were listed as top employers in Delaware.Â
