Bagent connected with Pettis for a second time in a matter of minutes following a fumble by Rocky Lombardi. A couple plays later Bagent and Pettis connected on this 25 yard pass to stretch the lead to 24-3.
There is plenty excitement surrounding the Bears heading into the regular season, and it doesn’t just revolve around Caleb Williams. The defense showed up and looked like a real Chicago defense, Bagent had a nice day throwing the rock, and the fans will go home pumped up about what is to come in the Windy City. The Bengals didn’t have too much to get excited about, but they also didn’t play their starters, so we will see what they decide to do with their starters next week.
The Bengals will play the Colts next week, while the Bears the Chiefs in the final preseason tune up before Week 1.
