There will be a focus on the power of docuseries to boost a sports property’s commercial rights income, but also the long-term benefits of sowing seeds with an entirely different demographic of viewers.
The panel will also talk about the process – getting buy-in from stakeholders and athletes; finding the right production company; finding the right distributor; the business model as a standalone; and how it can potentially knit into the live aspect with Netflix and other platforms, moving further into the live realm.
