Inter and Juventus are seeing their hopes of snapping up Jonathan David fading fast, as Bayern Munich are diving in for the Lille striker.

It is no secret that his contract with the Ligue 1 side expires at the end of the season and he has no intention of renewing.

A January sale is therefore the only hope for LOSC to avoid losing him as a free agent come the summer.

David will not stay at Lille

Inter and Juventus had long been linked with the Canada international, but their hopes look set to be dashed because Sky Sports Deutschland, Calciomercato.com and others all report that Bayern Munich have made David their number one target.

He is now seen as the forward who can both work with Harry Kane and act as his successor too.

His profile has only increased recently with 13 goals scored in 19 competitive games for Lille, including in the Champions League draw with Juventus.

It is believed that if Lille do sell in January, they will want at least €20m.
