It’s beginning to look a lot like one of the Christmas NFL games on Netflix will have an interesting sideline reporter.
Taylor Lewan, a former three-time Pro Bowl offensive tackle for the Titans and co-host of the Barstool Sports podcast “Bussin’ With the Boys,” said on his show earlier this week that he is on the “short list” to be a part of Netflix’s Christmas Day doubleheader.
On Tuesday, The Post exclusively reported that Fox Sports rejected a request from the streaming service for Kevin Burkhardt to call one of the games and that Netflix is now targeting Ian Eagle, Noah Eagle, Nate Burleson and Greg Olsen as broadcasters.
The Netflix doubleheader will feature the Chiefs vs. Steelers and the Ravens vs. Texans.
On “Bussin’” this week, Lewan revealed that he was being considered for a role in the extravaganza.
Co-host Will Compton was surprised and asked him if that means he might be a color commentator.
“No, probably sidelines,” Lewan said.
“It’d be kind of nice, right? I think it would be kind of sick to do one game of color commentating. One game.”
Compton said he thought Lewan would be “great” at it.
“Me too,” Lewan said. “Like, if Tom got 300 mil? Throw me … two. I’d like to do one game.”
Earlier this year, there were rumors on social media that Lewan could be hosting an upcoming reality series for Netflix.
Netflix is reportedly paying a total of $150 million for its NFL doubleheader.
