MAPLESVILLE, Ala. (WSFA) – An Autauga Academy football coach has been taken to the hospital after being injured during Friday night’s game against Maplesville.
Autauga Academy announced in a social media post that Coach Bam suffered a broken foot when he was knocked down by a play that spilled off the field onto the sidelines.
He was taken to an area hospital for immediate medical attention, but seemed in good spirits.
“He was smiling as he left, but we know he would appreciate your prayers,” the post concluded.
