Munar – Ruud: 08.02.2025 21:00 CEST
H2H: 1-4
Jaume Munar has won three of his last five matches. It is his first appearance in Dallas. Munar has never had any success with indoor hard courts. Being a Spaniard, Jaume had his biggest results on clay courts. In the opening round, he defeated Bu in straight sets. Jaume upset Shelton in the second round, winning in straight sets. Today, Munar won against Arnaldi in three tight sets in the quarterfinals. Around this time last year, Munar played in Montpellier, losing in the opening round against Martinez in straight sets.
Casper Ruud has won five straight matches. Last week, Casper did his best against Argentina in the Davis Cup for Norway. He won both singles matches in straight sets, but Norway still lost against Argentina, as we predicted. In the opening round in Dallas, Ruud won against Duckworth in three sets. It is his first appearance in Dallas. He defeated Mmoh in straight sets in the second round, as we predicted. Nishioka retired today mid-match against Ruud in the quarterfinals after Casper won the opening set 7-5.
According to the bookies, Munar is the big underdog in this matchup, but we disagree. Both players are clay-court specialists, and Munar was outstanding this week. This match could go either way, and we expect Munar to keep it tight.
That being said, Munar covering the games handicap is a value bet.

Shapovalov – Paul: 09.02.2025 00:00 CEST
H2H: 1-2
Denis Shapovalov has won four of his last five matches. The young Canadian has struggled with his form for the last few seasons. However, he played well this week in Dallas. He won two opening matches against Kecmanovic and Fritz in three tight sets. Yesterday, in the quarterfinals, Denis easily won against Machac in straight sets. It is his second appearance in Dallas. Denis lost in the opening round against Wu in his debut campaign in straight sets.
Tommy Paul has won four of his last five matches. Two weeks ago in Melbourne, Paul reached the quarterfinals. He lost against Zverev in four sets, as we had predicted. This week in Dallas, in the opening round, Tommy defeated Brooksby in three tight sets. After losing the first set 6-7, Tommy started playing better and turned the match around. In the second round, he defeated Quinn in three sets as well. He is the defending champion in Dallas. Yesterday, in the semifinals, Paul won against Opelka in straight sets.
According to the bookies, Paul is the slight favorite in this matchup, but we disagree. Dennis has been phenomenal this week. He has a great serve, and we expect a tight match with possible tiebreaks. Denis will hold his service games easily, and this match could go either way.
That being said, Shapovalov covering the games handicap is a value bet.
