A blockbuster final awaits us at the 2024 ATP Beijing Open, with the two best players this year locking horns for the title. World No. 1 Jannik Sinner takes on red-hot Carlos Alcaraz. This is a must-watch for all tennis fans around the world. But who will raise the title?
Head-to-Head: Alcaraz 5-4 Sinner
Carlos Alcaraz and Jannik Sinner have made it quite a good habit to face each other towards the end of tournaments. Their head-to-head is also pretty even at 5-4, with Alcaraz leading, but there’s very little to separate the two at the moment. These two have split the Grand Slam tournaments this year, something which was associated with the trio of Novak Djokovic, Rafael Nadal, and Roger Federer at one point in time. However, there are just the Big Two at the moment, and they are dominating the tennis world right now.

Alcaraz looks pretty fresh this week. It seems like the win in the Laver Cup has rejuvenated him after a shock exit at the US Open. The Spaniard has been pretty vocal about the tight scheduling, but that hasn’t stopped him from playing fabulous tennis this week. He is into the final, having not dropped a set, and has looked like the man to beat this week.
Sinner, though, will be pretty hard to beat. The Italian is in a rich vein of form, having captured the US Open, and while he has struggled at times this week, he has never looked like losing. On the hard courts, Sinner has won two out of the last three meetings, and on recent form, he does look to have a slight edge. With the courts playing slightly faster, it should suit Sinner more with his aggressive baseline play. Expect a very tight contest, with Sinner just edging it by a whisker.
Prediction: Sinner in 3
