Nishioka – Tiafoe: 26.07.2024 16:00 CEST
H2H: 1-3
Yoshihito Nishioka has won three of his last five matches. Here in Atlanta, Nishioka performed well in the first round, winning against Svajda in straight sets. Nishioka lost his serve only once, at the beginning of the first set. However, after that, Yoshihito served well and won in straight sets. In the second round, Nishioka played a great match, winning against McDonald in straight sets. Yoshihito finally found his form, and got many-needed consecutive wins. Last year in Atlanta, Nishioka lost his second round match against Vukic in three tight sets.
Frances Tiafoe has won four of his last five matches. His last match before ATP Atlanta was at Wimbledon where he lost against Alcaraz in five tight sets as we predicted. Here in Atlanta, Frances won his first match against Karatsev in three tight sets as we predicted. So far this season, Tiafoe has not have any remarkable results. However, with his recent decent match against Alcaraz, we believe that Tiafoe will get some self-confidence back and perform well in front of his own fans.
According to the bookies, Nishioka is the underdog in this matchup. Looking at their recent performances here in Atlanta, we believe that Nishioka has shown better tennis than Tiafoe. Frances was struggling with her form throughout the whole season. We believe that Nishioka will keep this match tight.
That being said, Nishioka covering the games handicap is a value bet.

Rinderknech – Bellucci: 26.07.2024 16:00 CEST
H2H: first meeting
Arthur Rinderknech has won three of his last five matches. Last week in Newport, Arthur lost in the second round against Kovacevic in three tight sets. Here in Atlanta, Rinderknech won his first round match against J.J. Wolf in easy straight sets. Arthur had a great serving performance, not offering any breakpoints. In the second round, Arthur defeated Walton in straight sets as we predicted. Rinderknech is looking to go deep this week, to get into the top 50 before the US Open.
Mattia Bellucci has won four of her last five matches. Here in Atlanta, Bellucci fought through the qualifying tournament and got into the main-draw. In the first main-draw round, Vukic retired against him mid-match. After that, in the second round, Mattia won against Mannarino in three tight sets. It was a long and exhausting match, but Bellucci looked fit throughout the whole match.
According to the bookies, Rinderknech is the favorite in this matchup. He is a much more experienced player at the highest level than Bellucci. Arthur also won both of his matches in easy straight sets. We believe that his experience will prevail in this match, and that he will win this match easily.
That being said, Rinderknech winning is a value bet.
