1. Do you have any pre-round rituals or superstitions?
Pre-round I would just say listen to some music on the way over to the course. I get loosened up at the range. I usually hit the range for 20 or so minutes, and I putt for 10 minutes.
2. What are your plans for next year?
I’m still undecided on what school I will be attending, but I got all my college applications in. My top choices are Michigan, Wake Forest and (Texas Christian University).
3. What is your favorite club in your bag?
I would definitely say my driver. I feel like I get really good length off the tee and I trust it. It’s treated me well in the past.
4. When did you know you wanted to pursue golf?
I would say after freshmen year. I played golf and lacrosse, but after freshman lacrosse, I decided I wanted to focus more on golf and practiced as much as I could from then on.
5. What does a week on the course look like for you?
I would play at least two 18-hole rounds and a nine-hole round and other days just go to the range.
6. What is your favorite local course?
I love playing at Indian Hill. It is right next to house. I’d just go over there right after school — nice and easy. I grew up playing there, so a lot of fond memories there with family. There’s nothing particularly about the course. It’s just a special place.
7. What is your favorite thing to do off the course?
I love spending time with friends and family, spending time with my dog (Lucy, cockapoo) and in the summer, go to the beach all the time. I work down at Kenilworth Beach. love spending time outside, love fishing.
8. If you’re in Walgreens with a couple bucks, what are you buying?
I would say I’d get an Arnold Palmer, peanut M&M’s and sunflower seeds (original flavor).
9. What is something people don’t know about you?
That I grew up ski racing. My mom grew up in Vail (Colorado) and skied in college and got my sister and I into it really early in our lives. We were on the the Wilmot ski team in Wisconsin.
10. What are your goals for this weekend (Oct. 18-19) at state?
Our goals are nothing short of winning a state championship. I have a lot of confidence in our squad. We are very deep. I hope everyone is going out there with confidence and we bring home that state title.
