The exhibition, which will continue until September 12, includes more than 70 works in the form of small paintings that are easy for the public to acquire. From Qatar, plastic artists Salman Al Malik and Ahmed Noah are participating, in addition to a group of artists from Zamalek Art Hall, including: Ayman Saadawi, Rabab Nemr, George Fikry Ibrahim, Sam Shandi, Sohair Al Adawy, Farghali Abdel Hafeez, Mohamed Sabry, Mustafa Abdel Moati, Mustafa Al Razzaz, Mustafa Al Fayoumi, Nemat Al Diwani and Yasmine Al Hazeq.
In a statement to QNA, visual artist Salman Al Malik expressed his happiness to participate in this distinguished exhibition, which represents an addition to the artistic and cultural scene with the participation of a group of first-class Egyptian visual artists, noting that the exhibition represents an extension of Al-Markhiya Gallery’s experience in presenting Arab experiences through group exhibitions.
For his part, visual artist Ahmed Noah, in a similar statement to QNA, praised the exhibition, which includes creative works by artistic figures from Qatar and Egypt, and reflects the richness of the Arab visual scene, adding that he is participating in the exhibition with six works in which he used Mix Media technology. The Networks exhibition is the second part of an ongoing series of group exhibitions, and Al-Markhiya Gallery will continue to expand this contemporary participatory platform in the coming years.
The gallery seeks to enhance the local art movement by holding many art exhibitions. It recently opened the Masdar Exhibition and the Threads of Life Exhibition. These exhibitions celebrate the experiences of visual artists in Qatar and the Arab countries, enhance their communication with their audience, and develop the general taste in society for visual arts. They provide a clear reflection of this matter, represented in the great interaction with these exhibitions and the works of their creators.
