Arizona coach Tommy Lloyd and his coaching staff have shown show they can recruit top-level international and domestic players.
On Sunday, Arizona could land a commitment from a prospect who is from the Netherlands and plays high school basketball in the U.S.
Arizona target Dwayne Aristode, one of the top wings in the 2025 class, will announce his college commitment tomorrow, according to his Instagram page.
The 6-foot-8, 215 lb. small forward is deciding between Arizona, Duke, Michigan State, USC and the NBL Next Stars’ Program. Aristode plays for Brewster Academy in New Hampshire.
He is considered a five-star prospect by 247Sports Composite, which ranks him the No. 18 player in the 2025 class and the No. 4 small forward.
Arizona is considered the favorite to land Aristode. 247Sports national basketball analyst Travis Branham submitted a Crystal Ball prediction for the Wildcats earlier this week. Meanwhile, On3’s Recruiting Prediction Machine gives Arizona a 92% chance of landing Aristode.
Arizona is currently without a commitment for the 2025 class.
Here is how 247Sports director of scouting Adam Finkelstein describes Aristode’s game: “Aristode is a jumbo wing with a ton of physical tools that should ultimately translate into a versatile two-way game. He has terrific positional size at 6-foot-8 and an equally impressive frame. He’s not exceptionally long, with a 6-foot-10 wingspan, but is already strong and physical. He’s a high-level athlete who runs very well, is an explosive leaper, and can play up above the rim with ease.”
Arizona assistant Jack Murphy has been the lead recruiter for Aristode.
Two days after being bounced from the Big 12 women's basketball tournament in the second round, Arizona State has fired women's basketball coach Natasha Adair.
