As the college football season progresses into Week 3, anticipation is high for the Friday Night showdown between the No. 20 Arizona Wildcats and the No. 14 Kansas State Wildcats in Manhattan, Kansas.
The Arizona Wildcats, led by their quarterback Noah Fifita, extended their win streak to 2-0 for the season after a 22-10 victory over Northern Arizona in Week 2. Fifita’s performance was noteworthy, completing 18 of 26 attempts for 173 yards with one touchdown and one interception.
Meanwhile, the Kansas State Wildcats demonstrated their resilience in a thrilling 34-27 victory against the Tulane Green Wave. Wildcats’ safety Jack Fabris‘ 60-yard touchdown return of a fumble by Tulane quarterback Darian Mensah in the fourth quarter was a defining moment, securing Kansas State’s second win of the season. Kansas State quarterback Avery Johnson‘s performance was instrumental in edging the Wildcats past the Green Wave, completing 15 of 23 attempts for 181 yards and two touchdowns.
Now, both Arizona and Kansas State aim to continue their winning streak in a Week 3 showdown.
