Meet the 2024-25 Fab 5 senior boys basketball team
Ashwaubenon’s Amari Allen, Kaukauna’s Keegan VanKauwenberg, Oshkosh North’s Xzavion Mitchell, Southern Door’s Drew Daoust and De Pere’s Zach Kinziger make up the 2024-25 Fab 5 team.
HORTONVILLE – The top-ranked Papermakers remain undefeated and also put some distance between them and the Polar Bears in the Fox Valley Association title chase.
Kate McGinnis scored 18 points with Ava Van Vonderen and Raegan Krueger each adding 14 points. Krueger also had 10 rebounds.
Kimberly (15-0 overall, 12-0 FVA) leads second-place Hortonville by two games in league play after sweeping the Polar Bears (12-4, 10-2) this season.
“(The win) really put us in a good spot for (the conference title),” Krueger said. “It also put us in a real good spot for seeding and we’ll just have to see where the rest of the season takes us.”
Julieyn Martin had 16 points to lead fifth-ranked Hortonville with Rainey Welson adding 15.

Neenah/Hortonville/Menasha took a 2-0 lead in the first period on goals by Mark Sutton and Ty Laabs.
Stevens Point roared back with three goals in the second period on goals by Carsen Somers, Beau Schroeder and Molski.
In the third period, the Rockets sandwiched goals by Calvin Zinda and Cooper Zinda around a Stevens Point goal by Somers to send the game into overtime.
Cartyr Simonson, Calvin Zinda, Sutton and Laabs had assists for NHM, which was outshot by Stevens Point 32-25.
Owen Debbert had 27 saves in goal for Neenah/Hortonville/Menasha. Eric Cisewski had 21 saves for Stevens Point.
ASHWAUBENON – The Jaguars scored a goal in each period in the victory over Appleton.
Conner Viau, Mitchell Specht and Ryan Leahy scored for Ashwaubenon. Leahy, Mason Murray and Ilya Svetlichnyy had assists.
Ashwaubenon goalie Justin Pintar had 12 saves. Appleton United goalie Brandon Tobak had 27 saves.
SHEBOYGAN – Agape Koester placed second in the all-around to lead the Ghosts to the dual meet victory.
