Ansu Fati is on the comeback trail as the forward makes his latest recovery from injury at Barcelona.
The 22-year-old has been out with a hamstring strain picked up in training and was originally ruled out for four weeks.
However, he’s posted an encouraging update on social media – showing he’s back in his boots and closing in on a comeback.
Fati’s managed just seven appearances for Barcelona this season – and only one as a starter – and it remains to be seen what kind of impact he can have at the club under Hansi Flick.
The German did talk up Fati when he first arrived but injuries have once again disrupted his progress at Barcelona, while the form of Raphinha, Lamine Yamal, Dani Olmo and Robert Lewandowski has also not helped his cause.
Fati will be hoping for chances when he does return to fitness, although his future at the club continues to look far from secure due to his injury record.
